BASETRACK SCOUT ASSISTANT
Privacy policy.
Purpose
BaseTrack Scout Assistant is a read-only browser extension by Based Scout for discovering BaseStonk and Stonks coins, viewing public market statistics and receiving optional launch alerts. It does not connect to a wallet, ask for keys, sign transactions or place trades.
Data stored on your device
Preferences, pinned public coin addresses, market and chart caches, and notification deduplication records are kept in Chrome local storage. The most recent inspection stores verified public coin keys and a tab identifier in session storage. These records are not uploaded as a user profile or synchronized to a BaseTrack account.
Public data requests
The extension reads public market data from basetrackfees.com, api.basestonk.io and www.thestonks.exchange. Requests may contain a public coin contract address or chart period. They omit credentials and do not send browser cookies, private wallet credentials, form contents, private messages or your browsing history. Public token logos may be loaded from their image hosts without a referrer. Servers receiving these requests can see normal network metadata, such as your IP address and requested endpoint, under their own policies.
Inspecting a page
Page inspection runs only when you click Analyse this tab, open the extension to inspect a supported coin page, or choose Inspect with BaseTrack from the context menu. It reads the selected address and bounded public coin links locally, then matches candidate addresses against the public catalog. Full page text and arbitrary page URLs are not sent to our servers.
Optional notifications
Desktop notifications and in-page pop-ups are off until you enable them. In-page pop-ups request optional access to HTTP and HTTPS websites so a small notification can be drawn on the foreground page. This renderer does not read the page text, forms or private messages. The current tab URL is checked locally to avoid unsupported pages and is not stored as browsing history.
Permissions
Storage and unlimitedStorage keep the public catalog, preferences and bounded caches. sidePanel displays the assistant. activeTab, scripting and contextMenus support user-requested inspection. alarms schedule public data checks while Chrome runs. Host access is used for the three listed public API origins. Optional notifications and website access are requested only for the corresponding alert channel. The extension runs packaged code; it does not download remote executable code or add advertising trackers.
Your controls
Disable either notification channel in Settings or revoke its permissions in Chrome. Clearing extension data resets preferences and caches; uninstalling removes the extension and its local stored data. Chrome may prevent pop-ups on protected pages. No account is required to use the extension.
Limited use
The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. User data is not sold, used for personalized advertising, transferred to data brokers or used to determine creditworthiness.
